Clara Wilsey (@clarawilsey on Instagram) is an American model, influencer and actress from California. She was born in Napa, California on September 18, 1997 and grew up between California and Southlake, Texas.
After being scouted, her modeling career really took off. Clara is Five foot seven inches tall, with naturally curvy 33-24-34 measurements and a DD cup size. She has brown hair and brown eyes and a natural, glowing beauty. When asked about what she would have pursued if she wasn’t a model, she said it would “definitely something in the restaurant industry. I grew up around wine and amazing food in the Napa Valley and I love people and the energy that a good restaurant brings.” About what is her mantra, if any and Clara swears by the following “It’ll be fine.” When asked what makes Clara feel sexy, she answered that sunshine and having her hair done does. “If the sun is out and I’m having a good hair day, I feel sexy as hell.” She really enjoys traveling and has her sights on visiting the Dominican Republic next. When recounting about some of the crazy things she had ever done on a modeling shoot, Clara said she was wearing a big wedding dress and rain boots. The shoot was on the Washington Coast and it was essentially raining and very cold. She was carried piggy back across creeks and climbed up tall trees. All while in a strapless wedding dress. She also had to balance off the edge of a boat in forty degree weather, which quite an intense experience for her.

When asked if her first love was acting or modeling, Clara responded with the fact that she had started modeling before she started to act. As far as acting goes, Clara confided how she did not dream of being an actress. Nor did she think of becoming a model either. When she had the opportunity, she thought “why not? I’ll try it.” Clara came to enjoy the process, of acting. She kind of just fell into modeling. To hear her tell it ‘A lot of us sway back and forth when we’re speaking in front of people or are nervous, but I’m used to literally shooting in my underwear in a room full of strangers! Even if I’m nervous, I can stand still and strong and hopefully not give off any shy vibes that can ruin an audition or scene.” When asked in the interview what it was like to audition for the role of Kimmy Stitcher in Tall Girl, she shared how great it was. Preferring face to face auditions, to self auditions, Clara expounded on how she found the casting directors to be ‘very sweet’ and that they “responded to the funny bits” which put her at ease about her performance. She said that the absolute “worst is the stone faced casting agent that gives you no feedback or laughs,” which Clara said makes her feel that she failed when she would walk out of an audition. When asked about what she liked most about being on set, Clara replied that it was the food.
Tall Girl was filmed in New Orleans which meant great food, due to the catering. One of the perks was that were snacks available 24/7. She also thought that the crew was amazing as well, and how they would have a great time together between takes. In response about what her acting process was when playing a mean girl, Clara responded how she thought that most every girl has a little bit of “sassy mean girl in them,” and how in reality, she and the actress who plays the character of the the tall girl Jodi and her were laughing and joking about it after, which made her feel not so bad about it. Filming the homecoming scene in the movie, was lots of fun, when asked about behind the scenes moments that had really stood out, due to it “being one giant party at the end.” Sabrina Carpenter also appears in the film Tall Girl, and Clara really enjoyed the camaraderie between the cast on the set, how they all “became one big family.”
In conclusion, in the ‘this or that’ portion of the interview, when asked about which she preferred between acting and modeling, she answered acting. Wether she liked Netflix or live TV, she said live TV. Clara answered though she doesn’t watch much Netflix or live TV, she prefers live TV for the sports and news. Her favorite foods are both Italian and Mexican foods, so she cannot choose between them as she loves both! She prefers an IPhone over a Computer. And of course she prefers the Beach over the pool any day. On instagram where she has hundreds of thousands of followers she posts her curated modeling pics as well as her travels and hobbies. She has often shared how much she likes the music of Rihanna, as she is her favorite artist. Clara has never studied acting, In another interview, this time for New Scene Magazine she talks about her inspirations, modeling and gives advice. When asked about acting, and modeling, Clara mentioned how even though she “kind of accidentally fell into it” but after trying it out “she was hooked.” She demonstrates an aptitude for acting. Clara shares in the interview that she was always encouraged by family and friends to be an actress. And how she loves acting now that she had the opportunity to act.
When asked how high school was like for her, since she played the mean girl in Tall Girl. Clara replied that she changed high schools as a sophomore and had two different experiences. As an “art kid” she had a variety of friends and she was bullied a little bit, but the good had balanced out the bad. Clara, when she asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said Rock Star. She loves music to entertain. She has been playing the guitar since she was seven years old. She had stopped playing for a while and has recently started up again. When asked what advice she would have given to her high school self, and Clara replied “Go to school and actually try lol.” She was working in restaurants when she was in high school, and would often skip class in order to pick up shifts. Looking back, Clara thinks that she missed out on “some key lessons”. When asked what message would she like to pass on to her fans, Clara said “be kind to yourself so you attract people who love you no matter what. We all need a support team.” Asked what was her favorite outfit to wear as she has worn many as a model. She loves modeling wedding dresses, because they make her feel like a “princess.”

She thinks that Jessica Lange is an amazing actress and that it would be a dream to work with her. Clara opines on how the best photoshoots are the ones with a great crew and fun sets. She especially loves location shoots. When asked what her perfect day would be, Clara replied that it would be to unwind with friends enjoying great music and wine. She has been romantically linked with NFL wide receiver Lil Jordan Humphry, which has never been confirmed.
